Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain words, how ChatInHome handles information when businesses use it to reply to their Facebook Page messages, and when people message those businesses.
Information we use
- Your account: your name, email address and profile picture from the sign-in method you choose (Facebook, Google or email).
- Your Facebook Pages: the Pages you choose to connect, so you can read and answer their messages.
- Conversations: messages and files sent to and from your connected Pages, plus any notes or labels your team adds.
We only use what is needed to run the service. You choose which Pages ChatInHome can access, and you can disconnect them at any time.
How we use it
Only to provide ChatInHome to you: showing and sending messages, running the automations you set up, keeping your account secure, and helping you when you contact support.
We never sell your information, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models.
Information from Google sign-in is used only to sign you in and show your name and picture, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information from Facebook is used only for the features you use in ChatInHome.
Sharing
We do not share your information with anyone except trusted service providers that help us run ChatInHome (such as hosting and email delivery), and only as needed to provide the service, or when the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
Your information is protected with encryption, secure connections and access controls. Only people on your team that you invite can see your workspace.
Your choices
- Disconnect a Facebook Page or a sign-in method at any time from your profile.
- Download or delete your account from your Profile page.
- Remove ChatInHome from your Facebook or Google account settings at any time.
If you messaged a business
If you sent a message to a business that uses ChatInHome, that business manages your conversation. Contact them to see or delete your messages. Sending “stop” in the chat stops automated replies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date above when we do, and tell you about important changes.
